Furthering this commitment, Microsoft will be working with the Hadoop ecosystem, including core contributors from Hortonworks, to deliver Hadoop-based distributions for Windows Server and Windows Azure that works with industry-leading business intelligence (BI) tools, including Microsoft PowerPivot. A Community Technology Preview (CTP) of the Hadoop-based service for Windows Azure will be available by the end of 2011, and a CTP of the Hadoop-based service for Windows Server will follow in 2012.

To help consumers, Symantec recently unveiled Norton Everywhere, aimed to take Norton beyond the PC and extend trust to new devices and consumer applications. Symantec is the first and only vendor to offer all three groups mobile security and management solutions that can scale from just one to millions of users.
All told, the work of the IBM Bucharest Systems Laboratory will enhance IBM’s virtualization capabilities in its switches, as well as their ability to manage and optimize diverse workloads. IBM monitors 13 billion security events per day in more than 130 countries and holds 3,000 security patents.
To protect Elders’ business, HP will deliver a set of Security Services, providing comprehensive security oversight of the managed environment based on compliance to Elders’ security policies and standards. In addition, HP will deliver Workplace Services for all of the company’s computing devices such as desktop and notebook PCs, handheld devices and printers.
