IBM has been closely working with IIT and other universities across the country to improve and evolve IT skills based on open standards and we look forward to increasing our partnership especially in emerging fields such as cloud computing and business analytics.
IBM and Netezza have been strategic partners for many years and will continue to focus on delivering workload optimized systems that provide integrated software, servers and storage for analyzing vast amounts of complex data. In IBM’s third-quarter of 2010, IBM’s analytics business grew 14 percent.
The interest in this locally-based, alternative and affordable form of testing delivery exemplifies the increasing popularity of LPI’s certification program in many countries and the growing need for certified Linux professionals,” said Jim Lacey, president and CEO of LPI. Mr. Lacey added that this new initiative is the result of a successful initial round of proctor training in 2005 for participants from Southeast Asia such that IOSN requested to expand the program to other countries this year.
The center has already started the development of a transportation pilot that could reduce commuting time in the city by 15%, representing approximately US$ 90 million in savings per year by enabling citizens to use their time more productively and decrease carbon emissions.
